Wojciech Zieliński
President of the Board

Mr. Wojciech Zieliński was born in 1961. He is a graduate of the Electronic Engineering Faculty of the Technical University of Łódź (Master of Science in electronic engineer). He passed state examination for members of management boards in companies of the state treasury.
From October 1985 to July 1992 he worked in the Electronic Engineering Faculty of the Technical University of Łódź as an assistant lecturer. Between 1991 and 1992 he was a specialist responsible for software in a Łódź-based IT company Cervus Sp. z o.o., then, between 1992-1999, he became executive in one of the largest integrators of IT systems in the Łódź region. From October 1999 to the end of February 2008 he was, respectively: main IT specialist, deputy chancellor responsible for organizational matters and deputy chancellor responsible for computerization (CIO) in the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Łódź. He is a co-founder of the Polish Virtual University, of which he was a manager between 2002 and 2005. From 1999 to 2001 he was also vice-president of the Board of IPT Sp. z o.o. – a Łódź-based training company.
He is secretary of the Association of Academic E-learning, a member of the Advisory Committee of the International Conference on Technology Supported Learning and Training Educa in Berlin, and a member of the editing committee of an Internet magazine elearningpapers.eu.

Mirosław Sopek
Vice-president of the board

Mr. Mirosław Sopek was born in 1959. In 1983 he graduated from the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics of the Technical University of Łódź with the title of Master of Science in technical physics and in 1992 he obtained the PhD title in chemical sciences on the Faculty of Chemistry of the Technical University of Łódź.
Between 1983 and 1992 he was an assistant lecturer in the Institute of Applied Radiation Chemistry of the Technical University of Łódź. From 1989 he led Mako Typesetting company, and in 1993 he transformed it into MakoLab. Between 1996 and 2000 he worked abroad, first as director of IT projects in HyperCube, Inc. in Waterloo, Canada, then as director of IT projects and system designer in HyperCube USA, Inc. in Gainseville – Florida, USA. In 1997 he became co-owner and managing director of MakoLab M. i K. Spółka Jawna until 2007, when the enterprise transformed into a joint stock company. He was first President of the Board of MakoLab S.A. Since  March, 7th 2007, he has been Vice-president of the Board.
Parallel to his work in business, he is also active in scientific and didactic domains. Between 1992 and 1995 he was an adjunct in the Institute of Applied Radiation Chemistry of the Technical University of Łódź, while from 2000 he has been an adjunct in the Academy of Humanities and Economics Łódź, where, since 2002, he leads the faculty of e-commerce.
