Details

The client
Modern Expo is an international manufacturer and supplier of comprehensive fixtures and fittings for the retail sales sector. The company has been operating consistently for twenty-five years and is a leading supplier of display solutions not only in Poland, but also around the world. Its recent focus has been on using the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence, in its product development. As a result, it is becoming a platform connecting R&D, IT, engineering and design experts.
The goal
Modern Expo contacted MakoLab with a view to creating a state-of-the-art website designed to correspond to the times, respond to current trends and support the company’s strategy for enhancing brand recognition and growing its network of partners.

The website is mainly used by representatives of the B2B and B2C sector. In the first case, they are retail sales and sales staff managers at every level who are involved in wholesale purchasing. In the second, they are owners of small-scale retail chains or local retail outlets whose purchases are less extensive. The website also serves as a tool for winning potential business partners.

MakoLab’s work involved:
Building the website:
  • developing the underlying assumptions and the information architecture (IA)
  • designing the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI)
  • developing and deploying the CMS Sulu.io system search engine optimisation (SEO)
  • integrating the contact form with the company’s CRM system
Analysis and visibility:
  • SEO copywriting: on the basis of our semantic analysis and substantive input, we prepared the metadata and ready-to-publish articles broadening the website’s content
  • web analytics: implementing and configuring the Google Task Manager and Google Analytics tools
The solution
We changed the structure of the website and the logic behind the placement of the material. We also filled it with high-quality, up-to-the-minute information and made it much more user friendly. At the same time, we provided support and oversight during the deployment and post-deployment periods. Every stage of our work was signed off by our testers, meaning that the new version of Modern Expo’s website was created in line with the highest of standards.

The website’s features include a projects portfolio showcasing the company’s most interesting work, a news section covering its latest undertakings and world events and current market analyses and reports. The products section, which presents the best of Modern Expo and its crowning achievements, was designed using the most innovative of approaches and enhanced by means of advanced construction and programme solutions.

A workshop formula was used for developing the Modern Expo website. We held weekly sessions with the client, where we discussed the project and developed numerous aspects, including the product portfolio/BCG matrix, the IA and the UX and UI designs.

The project was located in the AWS Cloud and all the accesses were handed over to the client after completion.
